Based on numerous perspectives, the determination of an ACM panel price can vary. There are two main classifications used here which are as follows:
For the interior walls of a house, you will find PE frequently used.
You can expect 15 years and more from the PVDF version. Its main use is for decoration on outside walls. It’s known for its weather resistance. Throughout its entire lifespan, its color will not fade. There is a higher price tag on PVDF due to its greater thickness and weather resistance.
For our purposes here, we’ll look at four things that generally affect the sheet price of ACM panels:
We will also check out a couple of applications for which these panels are used, which can also affect the price.
Based on their brightness capacity, the cost is affected by color variation. There are three main categories into which color brightness is divided:
Approximately 50° is claimed by a semi-gloss panel, while a 70 to 90° of brightness is achieved by a gloss panel.
Compared to matte ACM sheets, glossy color panels are more expensive. Different prices also apply to brushed, mirror color, and marble color panels.
What makes up an ACM panel? Answer: A recycled plastic core, thick aluminum skin, and polymer film. The cost of most panels is impacted by the aluminum skin and plastic core. The cost of a panel may be further increased by a specifically desired core material, the color, and texture.
The thickness of the skin doesn’t receive much attention where non-professionals are concerned.
But generally speaking, the price of the panel will be higher, the greater the thickness. A fireproof ACM panel is preferred by most construction professionals, which means using the PVDF version.
Curtain walls are the main usage in this category. A fluorocarbon aluminum composite panel (PVDF) is generally the type used here. Therefore, for up to 15 years, the color may not fade. The prices are comparatively higher here because of the panel’s fluorescent coating.
For outdoor advertising boards, it is not uncommon to see ACM panels used. However, the polyester coatings generally used on ACM panels mean that color may begin fading after approximately five years. For the aluminum to survive, it does not have to be particularly thick.
