Aluminum composite panel, or ACP, is one of the most commonly used construction materials today. As a result, ACP provides a wide range of specific characteristics that can enhance the establishment’s originality. ACP adds a beautiful appearance to your building’s architecture, but these panels are frequently exposed to pollutants, acid from precipitation, and dust. When your ACPs are exposed, the panels will appear drab, and the establishment’s attractiveness will disappear. Here’s how to maintain aluminum composite panels.
The aluminum composite panel is made up of two aluminum sheets and a mineral-charge-holding thermoplastic base core. It’s made using a continuous lamination technique, in which a sheet of the material that will make up the core is extruded and crushed between two unwinding aluminum sheets.
This is a maintenance procedure for the ACP’s installation section. If you used a sealant to install the ACP, you should wait 40-45 days before removing the protective film. This will protect it from stains caused by sealants that have solidified on the surface.
When wiping the surface of the ACP during cleaning, gentle cloths are recommended. This procedure will not cause any scratch damage to the panel’s color paint. Cleaning solutions including potassium hydroxide or caustic soda are not recommended. If you utilize this hazardous mixture, the ACP covering paint will peel away, causing corrosion.
If you’re using a sponge, squeegee, or microfiber, make sure to clean the ACP’s surface from top to bottom. Drips from the cleaning solution will be reduced, and the panel will look as good as new.
When washing aluminum composite panels on the outside and inside, use a light detergent. Don’t forget to do a short pre-test with the detergent before using it all over. The dust and other harsh stains shown on the panel will be gently removed with this cleaning detergent. The water temperature should be warm while diluting the detergent because cleaning an ACP at a high temperature can damage the surface or leave the dirt behind.
Keep in mind that the detergent to clean water ratio should be 1:5. Wipe the filth away using a sponge or other soft cloth. When dyeing the surface of the ACP, use a squeegee.
Following these simple maintenance instructions on a regular basis will extend the life of your ACP and keep the panel’s appearance.
